Blooming Fantastic - the Wildflowers of Western Australia

image35

Early rains are promising a wonderful flower season

This year we are proud to offer three unique regional tours during wildflower season. Using luxury 4wd vehicles, we guarantee a window seat and only three passengers per vehicle. Utilising the services of a professional botanist, we have the opportunity to travel off the mainstream crowded routes and access stunning private flower viewing areas.

5 Day Mid-West Wildflower Tour August 27th - 31st

This year the wildflowers in the Mid-West will be peaking early, due to better than average rains and warmer winter temperatures. Experience the red dirt country, covered with displays of pink, white and yellow everlastings.

Contrast the rugged ranges with the beauty of the wreath flower and the displays of stunning purple vetch and red grevilleas. All these species and many, many more….

To make the most of our time in this region, we stay two nights at two very different station stays, enjoying the outback pastoral heritage of Kirkalocka and Mellenbye stations. Enjoy the stunning night skies, away from light pollution, and the wonderful ambience of a evening campfire.

All travel, most meals and sunset drinks are included in this small group (maximum of 12 people) tour price from $2850 (ex Perth). Every tour member also receives a USB stick with flower photos of the trip. Book soon as places filll up fast.

5 Day Wheatbelt Tour October 1st to 5th

Opening rains have set up the wheatbelt districts for brilliant displays of everlastings, orchids and bigger flowering shrubs. Take in wattles, hakeas, melaleucas and grevillas in the bush reserves and around the granite rock water catchment areas.

Staying two nights at Hyden and two nights at Bremer Bay, we explore both the inland displays and the coastal regions.

All travel, most meals and sunset drinks are included in this small group (maximum of 12 people) tour price of $2850 (ex Perth). Every tour member also receives a USB stick with flower photos of the trip.

5 Day South West Wildflowers October 8th to 12th

Over 8000 species of wildflowers bloom in the southern region of WA and the cooler climate of this region means that amazing floral displays can be seen later in the year. There are 300 species of orchids alone and many plants are endemic to the region.

This five day tour spends two nights in Hopetoun and two nights in Albany and also includes a half day botanical workshop, where you make your own skin care products in a laboratory setting, using collected plants from the region.

All travel, most meals and sunset drinks are included in this small group (maximum of 12 people) tour price of $2990 PLUS JASPER COST (ex Perth). Botanical workshop and take home product also included. Every tour member also receives a USB stick with flower photos of the trip.

And for something a little different – cultivated flowers!

Join us on a trip to the ACT’s iconic Floriade Festival.

5 Day Floriade Tour September 25th to 29th

We spend a day exploring the wonderful display of this festival, celebrating the beauty of spring, and including a program of horticultural workshops, artistic displays and recreational activities. With over a million blooms on display and music, food, wine and cultural celebrations, there is something for everyone at this event.

Using Canberra as a base, we visit the attractions of the city, take a day trip to the Snowy mountains and explore the heritage regions of our capital State.

All travel, some meals and airfares are included in this small group (maximum of 16 people) tour price of $3200 (ex Perth, other cities by arrangement, land tour cost available upon request). Every tour member also receives a USB stick with photos of the trip.
