10 Day Tour
Leaving Perth we travel through the gold regions of the Mid West. There is a rugged 4wd climb to the top of Mt Singleton to appreciate the stunning vista all around. Onto the old gold battery of Payne’s Find before heading to our overnight stay.
Our overnight is at Kirkalocka Station where we appreciate some wonderful outback history and hospitality.
Today we travel to Mt Augustus via the gold-mining towns of Mt Magnet and Cue, pausing to take in the museum in Mt Magnet. Onward, passing the historic Mt Gould police station and the iconic Landor Races site.
It’s a choice today of either climbing Mt Augustus or walking around some of the base trails. Either way, our day concludes with sunset drinks to watch the light create different shades of gold and purple as it fades over the rock.
We make our way to Karijini National Park, taking in the stunning Hamersley Gorge along the way. Overnight at Auski Roadhouse.
Dales Gorge, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool are on our morning itinerary. In the afternoon we visit the Visitors Centre and Kalamina Gorge before overnighting at Tom Price.
We explore the Western Gorges in the park, taking a picnic lunch. Overnight again at Tom Price.
Travelling towards the coast and appreciating the stunning landscape we stop at Bulara Station Stay.
There is a glass bottom boat tour at Coral Bay in the morning before heading onto Carnarvon.
Time permitting, we visit the Quobba blowholes.
Quobba Blowholes if not viewed the day before, then the Space Museum in Carnarvon in the morning. An afternoon drive to Geraldton.
Leaving Geraldton we take a visit to beautiful Ellenbrae Pool before heading down the coast; the Indian Ocean Drive is spectacular.
Onto Perth and the conclusion of our tour.
All your meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), accommodation and park entry fees are covered.
Where we can, we like to appreciate the sunset and how better to do that than with a glass of something?
A welcome cuppa breaks up the day's drive so we do morning and afternoon tea most days.
You need to keep hydrated so we give you a refillable water bottle.
Don't like sharing? You don't have to. Like our water bottle, this cup is to keep.
It's great to track where you're going/where you've been so we give you a map to do so.
We also throw in a fly veil just in case we come across any of those pesky critters.
